Dunya (The World)
A place for human striving through obedience and good deeds, rather than the place of full reward and accountability, which occurs on the Day of Resurrection.
Zeenat al-Dunya (Adornment of the World)
Temporary and vanishing worldly pleasures mentioned in Surat Al-Kahf to remind humans not to be distracted from obeying Allah.
Al-Baqiyaat al-Salihaat
Good deeds whose reward and merit remain with Allah, proving better than the vanishing adornments of life.
Islamic Balance
The pursuit of livelihood and beneficial work while maintaining worship, obedience, and avoiding excessive attachment to the world.
Iman bi-l-Ghayb (Faith in the Unseen)
Believing in everything Allah and His Messenger (PBUH) informed of that cannot be perceived by human senses, such as Angels, Paradise, and Hell.
Ghayb Matters
Examples include Angels, the Last Day, Paradise, Hell, Resurrection, and accountability (Hisab).
Marriage in Islam
A legal contract based on affection and mercy between a man and a woman aimed at forming a stable and righteous family.
Mithaqan Ghalidha (Solemn Covenant)
A term describing marriage because it is founded on mutual responsibility, rights, and duties between spouses.
Rights between Spouses
Includes mutual respect, good treatment, cooperation, sharing responsibility, mercy, and affection.
Prophet's Family Care
Treating family members with mercy, leniency, justice, and respect, and being a role model in cooperation and patience.
Tolerance (Tasamuh)
Respecting others, forgiving them, and dealing with them with mercy and justice despite differences.
Pardon when Able
Forgiving those who have mistreated you when you have the power to retaliate, which increases one's status with Allah and people.
Obedience to Wali Al-Amr (The Ruler)
Commitment to the orders and instructions of the ruler that achieve the interest of the country and society without violating Islamic law.
Purpose of Obedience to the Ruler
To maintain security and stability, prevent chaos, and achieve the public interest.
Citizenship Duty
Respecting laws, preserving public property, and serving society sincerely to achieve national progress.
