Spanish Conditional Tense
Formed by attaching the endings –ía, –ías, –ía, –íamos, –ían directly to the infinitive; expresses what someone "would" do.
CABER (to fit)
Irregular conditional stem: cabr– (e.g., cabría).
DECIR (to say/to tell)
Irregular conditional stem: dir– (e.g., dirías).
HABER (there is/are; auxiliary ‘to have’)
Irregular conditional stem: habr– (e.g., habría).
HACER (to do/to make)
Irregular conditional stem: har– (e.g., haríamos).
PODER (to be able)
Irregular conditional stem: podr– (e.g., podrías).
PONER (to put/to place)
Irregular conditional stem: pondr– (e.g., pondría).
QUERER (to want)
Irregular conditional stem: querr– (e.g., querrían).
SABER (to know)
Irregular conditional stem: sabr– (e.g., sabrías).
SALIR (to leave/go out)
Irregular conditional stem: saldr– (e.g., saldría).
TENER (to have)
Irregular conditional stem: tendr– (e.g., tendríamos).
VALER (to be worth)
Irregular conditional stem: valdr– (e.g., valdrían).
VENIR (to come)
Irregular conditional stem: vendr– (e.g., vendría).
