Avoidant or Restrictive Food Intake Disorder
Lack of interest in food, hates the food for how it looks or smells.
Anorexia Nervosa
Obsessive in having a perfect body image, they have very high expectations of how they look even if they are already underweight
Bulimia Nervosa
They intake a large amount of food but purge shortly after to make up for consumed calories. They believe that they have ‘control’ over their body.
Binge Eating Disorder
They consume large amount of food on a daily basis, which exceeds the suggested calorie count intake per day. If not consulted immediately, can lead to heart disease and diabetes.
Picas
These individuals consume non-edible items like rock, paper, hair, chalk, etc. No definite reason yet as to why but it may be caused because of stress, developmental disorders, and could lead to infection and poisoning.
Nocturnal Sleep-related Eating Disorder
These individuals eat in their sleep without them knowing. This disorder affects 1 - 3% of world population.
Women
They are usually the ones who are involved in the misconceptions of eating disorders. Although 1 in 3 men are affect by this too.
