Pre-maneuver check.

Select a visual reference point on the horizon.

Reduce power to 1500 rpm and increase elevator pressure to hold altitude. Trim as required.

Maintain altitude and heading as airspeed decreases.

As the airplane approaches VR, smoothly increase the power to full, simultaneously raise the pitch to an attitude that will induce the stall. Maintain coordination. Up to 20° of bank may be added at this time if performing a departure stall.

Announce the indications of the stall (horn, buffet, stall). If the stall breaks the nose will drop and back pressure should be relaxed.
RECOVERY

Reduce the angle of attack smoothly to break the stall, maintain heading.

Pitch the airplane to the horizon (Vy attitude).
3
Once Vy, Level off and accelerate to cruise settings.
