Complementary angles
Two angles that share a sum of 90∘.
Supplementary angles
Two angles that share a sum of 180∘.
Vertically opposite angles
Angles formed opposite each other when two lines intersect.
Transversal
A line that cuts across two parallel lines, creating sets of matching and related angles.
Corresponding angles
Angles situated in the same relative position at each intersection where a transversal cuts two parallel lines.
Interior angles
Angles that lie inside (between) the two parallel lines when cut by a transversal.
Alternate angles
Pairs of angles on opposite sides of a transversal line and within the parallel lines.
