Distance
Total path length that the object travelled between two points.
Expressed in scalar quantity which means it can be described by its magnitude and unit.
Displacement
The measure of an object's change in position and define as the straight-line distance from its starting point to its end.
Expressed in vector quantity which means it can be described by its magnitude, unit, and direction.
To get distance:
Determine the sum of all the path lengths that the object covers.
To get displacement:
Measure the change in the object's position using a straight line.
