Q1: What are the 5 parts of the stimulus-response model?
A1: Stimulus → Receptor → Control Centre → Effector → Response
Q2: What is a stimulus?
A2: A change in the internal or external environment that is detected by the body.
Q3: What is a receptor?
A3: A cell or organ that detects a stimulus (e.g. skin receptors detect heat).
Q4: What is an effector?
A4: A muscle or gland that carries out a response (e.g. sweat glands produce sweat).
Q5: What is a negative feedback loop?
A5: A process that reverses a change to bring the body back to normal (e.g. cooling down when too hot).
