Physical Fitness
The ability of the body’s systems to function efficiently and effectively.
Cardiorespiratory Fitness
The ability of the heart and lungs to supply oxygen-rich blood to the working muscle tissues and the ability of the muscles to use oxygen to produce energy for movement.
Muscular Strength
The maximum amount of force that a muscle or group of muscles can exert in a single effort.
Muscular Endurance
The ability of a muscle or group of muscles to continue to perform without fatigue.

The range of motion available at a joint.

The concept that in order to improve fitness, the body must be subjected to increased demands.

A guideline for exercise program design that stands for Frequency, Intensity, Time, and Type of exercise.

The need for rest and recovery periods in a training program to allow the body to adapt and improve.

Activities that improve the strength and endurance of muscles.

The process by which your body converts what you eat and drink into energy.

The proportion of fat and non-fat mass in the body.
