Left Liver
Do a a Longitudinal Survey: IVC → when the Left Liver ends
1) Long Shot: This demonstrates Liver Parenchyma
Do a Transverse Survey: Diaphragms → when it Ends
2) Trans Shot: Find LEFT Portal Vein + Centre + Elongate
Right Liver
Long Survey: From all the way lateral → IVC/Aorta
1) Long Shot: Include Right Kidney
2) Long Shot: Same w/ Measurement from just outside diaphragm → end of Liver (13-15cm)
3) Long Shot: Sweep Medially (before IVC) → For Liver Parenchyma
Trans survey: Diaphragm → End of Liver
4) Trans Shot: Find RIGHT Portal Vein (Hyperechoic Outline)
Spleen
For Long Survey: Angle Tube so that it is pointed to head + angled to rib → Look in between each rib from side to side
1) Long Shot: Include Spleen
2) Long Shot: Measurement (10-12cm = normal | 13 = borderline)
Trans Survey: Angle 90 degrees from Long + Diaphragm → end of Spleen
3) Trans Shot: Spleen
Aorta
Trans Survey: Start understernum + angle up, Diaphragm → Bifurcation of Rt. + Lt. Iliac Arterys
1) Trans Shot: Above/Below level of SMA
2) Trans Shot: Above Bifurcation w/ Measurement (<3cm)
Long Survey: Diaphragm → Bifurcation
3) Long Shot: Above/Below level of SMA
4) Long Shot: Above Bifurcation w/ Measurement (<3cm)

1) Long Shot: Elongate Kidney as much as possible
2) Long Shot: w/ Measurement (9-13cm)

2) Trans Shot: Bifucation (ECA = medial + smaller)
Long survey: Bifircation → Clavicle
3) Long CCA
4) Long CCA with Colour
5) Long CCA w/ Spectral Measuring Peak Systolic Velocity
6) Long ICA
7) Long ICA w/ Colour
8) Long ECA
9) Long ECA w/ Colour
Carotid Measurement
Peak Systolic Velocity (PSV) of CCA should be LESS THAN 100cm/sec
