Boundary that occurs when tectonic plates move away from each other.

What is a convergent boundary?
Boundary that occurs when tectonic plates move toward each other and collide.
One plate may be forced beneath another through a process called subduction.

Destruction of old crust

Formation of mountains
Earthquakes
What is subduction?
Subduction occurs when one tectonic plate moves underneath another plate and sinks into the mantle.
This usually happens at convergent boundaries.

What are lines of longitude?
Imaginary lines that run vertically from the North Pole to the South Pole around Earth.
