How does Anselm view God?
As eternal, simple and impassible
Why does Anselm believe we have free will?
Humans exist within time, and thus can be free as this is applicable to the condition in which we exist. We can act with rectitude, i.e. chose moral action, and can therefore be held accountable and judged for our choices.
What is choosing to do the wrong thing for Anselm ?
Choosing to do nothing at all is as evil as the privation of good
How does Anselm view eternity ?
A non temporal concept- a fourth dimension.
What does Anselm emphasise ?
That we are pushing our language to its very limits- we are limited by human finite understanding
What is the four dimensionalist approach?
all of time is equally present to God's eternity since it is God's eternal activity which causes it all to be.
