Cut Mid
Cut across the arena at the nearest mid letter (A, B, C, or E). This is a follow move. Everyone will follow their lead when cutting across.
Cut on Go
On go, turn 90 degrees and travel straight across the arena, following the line leader. This is a follow move. Everyone will follow their lead when cutting across.
Comb
All riders cut across the arena on go, done individually. This is not a follow move.
Cut Back
From a slant or comb, all riders cut back towards their lead to adjust straight in original line order.
Dye
Ride from corner to corner of the arena.
Angle
On go, lead will cut 45 degrees and travel across the arena with riders following in-line. This is a follow.This is a follow move. Everyone will angle at the position the leader angled.
Slant
On go, riders will cut 45 degrees and travel across the arena, done individually. This is not a follow move. Everyone goes individually.
Back Slant
A 135° turn onto the diagonal behind you. Done in a trot unless specified otherwise.
Curl
On go, hold the turn key to complete a full circle. This is done at a walking gait.
Thread
Odds will curl on the first go, and evens will curl on the second go.
Gait Curl
Curl in the gait asked, but return to the gait you were originally in after your curl. You will always return to a trot after you complete the gait curl.
Curl Over
All riders do half of a curl on go, reversing the line order and direction.This is done at a walking gait.
Belt
On go, the leader will curl over in the direction asked, all others follow the leader. Everyone will curl over at the same position the leader curled over. Always done in a trot unless specifically told otherwise.
Split
At the wall, odds turn left, evens turn right, creating two lines.
Waterfall
Coming at C or A down the centerline, odds will curl over left when they reach the wall and evens will curl over right. Always done in a trot unless specifically told otherwise.
Halt Set
All riders walk on the second ‘Halt Set’, leader stops on “go” . All other riders walk up to be Nose To Tail (NTT) with the lead. Two Halt Sets will be called, on the SECOND ‘Halt Set’, all riders switch to a walking speed. On ‘Go’ the line leader will halt, and everyone will keep walking until their horse touches the tail of the rider in front.
Hard Stop
All riders stop on go by pressing down the stop key as quickly as possible.
Back Curl
From a halt, curl with the horse backing up, then halt again.
Pivot
¼, ½, ¾, or full (360). Turn your horse the amount asked from a halt. You always turn away from the wall. Example: If you are trotting on the left arena wall, you will pivot towards the right, away from the wall. If you are in the middle of the arena and not near a wall, you will pivot towards the default direction in Dressage, to the left.
Rear
On go, press the jump key whilst in a halt.
