when any changes suggested can be debated

What is the third reading?

The final debate and vote on whether the bill should continue

What happens in the House of Lords?

The process executed in the House of Commons repeated

What happens to the bill after the House of Lords?

The bill is sent back to the House of Commons to consider any changes made by the House of Lords

What happens when both Houses don’t agree?

The bill can fail

What happens if the bill is agreed?

it will get royal assent to become a law
