Why are fascia the true source of tightness instead of muscle?
muscles are elastic, they contract and relax but do not hold tension long term. When fascia dehydrates, contracts, or becomes restricted, it pulls on the muscle, creating the sensation of tightness but the muscle itself remains elastic. This means that tightness is not a muscle problem, but a fascial restriction issue.
What causes fascial response or contraction?
Fascia responds to physical movement, emotions, trauma and stress leading to long term movement limitations.
Where does movement originate from?
Movement originates from the fascial system by movement that originates from intention and is processed through fascia, which plays a crucial role in transmitting forces and coordinating patterns throughout the body.

With every zone of pressure, we are affecting these key spinal segments. This is important because most people try to twist their entire body in this movement, but the goal is to create controlled rotation around the spine.
Common Mistakes & How to Correct Them for Anti-Gravity
Feet too close or too far apart → Keep them shoulder-width unless modifying.
Skipping the thoracic rotation → Focus on rotating the upper spine, not twisting the whole body.
Squatting instead of hinging in Phase 3 → Avoid rounding the back too soon—hinge at the hips first, keeping the back flat and chest up before lowering further into the squat.
Rushing the movement → Take your time to engage the full fascial stretch and decompression.

Cueing Anti-Gravity
Phase 1
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart.
Engage the Spinal Pelvic Lock (pull in the belly button, hold your pee, and pull the sex organs up).
Interlock your hands and fingers and place them at the base of your skull.
Gently pull upward on the fascia at the back of your neck—do not push forward!
Keep your spinal pelvic lock engaged and look up at the ceiling.
Take three deep breaths in through the mouth and out through the mouth.
Take three deep breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
Phase 2
Slowly bring your chin to your chest and bring your elbows in tight.
Breathe in through the mouth and out through the mouth three times. (optional)

Now, take a deep breath through the mouth and hold it.
Slowly look up to the right
Exhale down to center
Repeat on the left side (breathe in, look up to the left, exhale to center).

Widen your stance.
Slightly bend your knees and push your butt back to the wall behind you (coming into a squat)
Look up and gently pull up on the fascia on the back of your neck, keeping your hands at the base of your skull.
Breathe in deeply, hold, and look up to the right.
Exhale down to center.
Breathe in deeply, hold, and look up to the left.
Exhale down to center.
Repeat this for three total breaths per side.
Phase 4
Go down into a full squat, getting as close to the ground as possible.
Tuck your chin, pull your elbows inward, crawling into a ball.
Engage your Spinal Pelvic Lock.
Breathe in and out through the mouth three times.
Breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth three times.
Phase 5
Slowly lift your butt up first
Straightening the spine vertebrae by vertebrae until you are standing tall and looking up.
Take a final breath in and out through the mouth.
Go for a short walk to integrate the movement.
