Perpendicular Bisector
A line that is perpendicular to a side of the triangle and separates it into two equal parts.
Angle Bisector
A line that splits an angle into two equal angles.
Median
A line that connects a vertex of a triangle to the midpoint on the opposite side. The long part of the median is twice the length of the shorter part.
Altitude
A line that connects a vertex to the opposite side of the triangle at a right angle.
Circumcenter
The point where the 3 perpendicular bisectors meet. It is equidistant to the vertices of the triangle.
Incenter
The point where the 3 angle bisectors meet. It is equidistant to the sides of the triangle.
Centroid
The point where all of the medians meet. It is the balancing point of the triangle.
Orthocenter
The point where all of the altitudes meet.
