Pitch
A persuasive message aimed at convincing someone to use a product or service.
Redundant
Words or phrases that are unnecessary because they repeat the same idea.
Active Voice
A sentence structure in which the subject performs the action expressed by the verb.
Subordination
A grammatical structure that shows the relationship between unequal ideas, emphasizing the principal idea.
Transitional Expressions
Words or phrases that connect ideas and help guide the reader through the writing.
Misplaced Modifier
A modifier that is positioned incorrectly in a sentence, leading to ambiguity or confusion.
Numerical Expression
The way numbers are represented in writing, either in word form or figure form.
Coherence
Logical connections that make it easy to follow and understand the flow of ideas in writing.
Clarity
The quality of being easily understood, clear and free from ambiguity.
Passive Voice
A sentence structure where the subject receives the action of the verb, often making the agent of the action less clear.
Parallelism
The use of similar grammatical structures to express ideas that are equally important.
Conciseness
The quality of being brief and to the point in writing, avoiding unnecessary words or details.
Conjunction
A word used to connect clauses or sentences or to coordinate words in the same clause (e.g., and, but, or).
