emotions are generated by the brain as a response of specific situations. they originate in the limbic system which includes the amygdala, hippocampus and hypothalamus, areas that process sensory information

behavioral response: how the person act in response to a scenario
thoughts: what the person thinks about the scenario, whether is positive, negative or neutral
