PM-KISAN (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi)
Central-sector scheme (2019) that transfers ₹6,000 per year in three equal instalments directly to Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts of all land-holding farmers, subject to specific exclusion criteria.
PM-KMY (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan-Dhan Yojana)
Central-sector pension scheme (2019) for small & marginal farmers (land ≤2 ha); on voluntary contribution, matched by GoI, to provide ₹3,000 monthly pension at 60 years; managed by LIC.
e-NAM (National Agriculture Market)
Online trading platform (2016) led by SFAC that integrates APMCs/mandis for transparent price discovery, e-payment and warehouse-based trading; 1,361 mandis from 23 States & 4 UTs onboarded.
Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF)
₹1 lakh-crore financing facility (2020-33) giving 3 % interest subvention & CGTMSE cover on loans up to ₹2 crore for post-harvest & community farming assets such as warehouses, silos, cold-stores.
Farmer Producer Organization (FPO) Scheme
Central-sector programme (2020) to form & promote 10,000 FPOs in 5 years; provides equity grant, credit-guarantee cover (₹1,500 crore corpus) and managerial hand-holding via CBBOs.
NBHM (National Beekeeping & Honey Mission)
Central-sector mission (2020-23, ₹500 cr) under MIDH to promote scientific beekeeping, honey infrastructure, R&D and marketing; implemented by National Bee Board.
Soil Health Card Scheme
Nation-wide programme (2015) issuing soil health cards every 3 years with nutrient status for 12 parameters and fertilizer recommendations; samples drawn on 2.5 ha (irrigated)/10 ha (rain-fed) grid.
PKVY (Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana)
Organic-farming sub-scheme (2015) under NMSA; cluster approach (≥50 farmers/20 ha) with PGS-India certification; farmers get ₹50,000/ha for 3 years via DBT for organic inputs.
BPKP (Bharatiya Prakritik Krishi Paddhati)
Natural-farming package (2019-25) up-scaled as National Mission on Natural Farming; focuses on on-farm biomass recycling & cow-based inputs; assistance ₹12,200/ha for 3 years.
PMKSY (Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana)
Umbrella irrigation mission (2015) comprising AIBP, HKKP, Watershed & Per-Drop-More-Crop; motto ‘Har Khet Ko Pani’; GOI share 60 % (general) / 90 % (NER/Himalayan).
AIBP (Accelerated Irrigation Benefit Programme)

RWBCIS (Restructured Weather-Based Crop Insurance Scheme)

Revamp effective Kharif 2020: voluntary enrolment, reduced GoI subsidy share (25 % irrigated / 30 % unirrigated), 12 % interest for delayed claims, multi-year insurer selection.
Green Revolution – Krishonnati Yojana

NMEO-OP (National Mission on Edible Oils – Oil Palm)
₹11,040 cr mission (2021-26) to expand oil-palm area to 10 lakh ha and raise CPO production; offers planting grants, maintenance support & viability price gap funding.
NMSA (National Mission for Sustainable Agriculture)
Mission (2014) under NAPCC promoting RAD, OFWM, Soil Health, SMAF, NBM, MOVCD-NER etc.; focusses on climate-smart farming.
RAD (Rain-fed Area Development)
NMSA component adopting watershed-plus cluster approach (≥100 ha) for farming-system based interventions in rain-fed regions.
SMAF (Sub-Mission on Agro-Forestry)
Promotes tree-based farming on farmlands; part of NMSA.
NBM (National Bamboo Mission)
Restructured 2018, now in MIDH; supports bamboo nursery, plantation & processing with centre:state 60:40 (general) funding.
Project CHAMAN
Geo-informatics project (2014) under MIDH using satellite data to estimate area & yield of seven horticulture crops (potato, onion, tomato, chilli, mango, banana, citrus).
FASAL Scheme
ISRO-supported programme providing in-season multiple crop-production forecasts using space, agromet & land observations for rice, wheat, pulses, cotton etc.
Agriculture Census
Decennial survey of operational holdings; 11th round reference year 2021-22, funded 100 % by DAC&FW.
ISAM (Integrated Scheme on Agricultural Marketing)
Umbrella covering AMI, e-NAM, MRIN, SAGF & NIAM; aims to build marketing infrastructure and value chains.
AMI (Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure)
Sub-scheme (till 2026) providing 25–33 % back-ended subsidy on godowns & market yards; routed via NABARD/NCDC.
MRIN – Agmarknet
ICT network capturing daily mandi prices & arrival data; agmarknet.gov.in portal under DMI.
SAGF (Strengthening of Agmark Grading Facilities)
Upgrades laboratories & certifies Agmark standards for quality agricultural produce.
NMAET (National Mission on Agricultural Extension & Technology)
Mission (2014) with four sub-missions: Agriculture Extension (SMAE), Seeds & Planting Material (SMSP), Agri-Mechanisation (SMAM) and Plant Protection & Quarantine (SMPPQ).
ATMA (Agricultural Technology Management Agency)
District-level institutional platform underpinning extension reforms under SMAE for farmer-led technology dissemination.
SMAM (Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanisation)
Offers 40–60 % subsidy on farm machinery; special 95 % support for NE states’ machinery banks (≤₹10 lakh projects).
PM-AASHA
Price-support umbrella (2018) combining PSS, PDPS & PPSS to assure MSP realisation for pulses & oilseeds farmers.
NFSM (National Food Security Mission)
Centrally sponsored scheme (2007, extended) to raise production of rice, wheat, pulses, coarse & nutri-cereals and commercial crops via seed, nutrient & farm-mechanisation assistance.
NFSM-Oilseeds & Oil Palm / TBOs
Merged sub-mission promoting oilseeds, oil-palm and tree-borne oilseeds with grants for seed, planting material & processing; sunflower special project 2022-25.
Kisan Credit Card (KCC)
Revolving credit facility (1998, NABARD model) giving farmers flexible short-term & investment loans; personal accident insurance included; now extended to fisheries & livestock.
Interest Subvention Scheme (ISS)
GoI pays 1.5 % interest subvention + 3 % prompt repayment incentive on short-term crop loans up to ₹3 lakh; valid 2022-23 to 2024-25.
NeGP-A (National e-Governance Plan-Agriculture)
ICT initiative delivering farm information via portal, Kisan Suvidha app, mkisan SMS and IDEA digital ecosystem blueprint.
Agri-Clinic & Agri-Business Centre (AC&ABC)
MANAGE-run programme (2002) that trains agri-graduates and gives 36–44 % back-ended subsidy (via NABARD) to set up fee-based extension or agri-ventures.
NICRA (National Initiative on Climate Resilient Agriculture)
ICAR project (2011) for strategic research, technology demonstration & capacity building on climate-resilient practices in 100 vulnerable districts.
Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK)
ICAR-funded farm science centre (726 units) conducting on-farm testing, FLDs and capacity building; first established 1974 Puducherry.
Agri Udaan
ICAR-NAARM & IIM-A accelerator for food & agri startups; 6th cohort launched 2023 to scale innovative agribusinesses.
Mera Gaon Mera Gaurav (MGMG)
ICAR/SAU initiative (2015) wherein groups of four scientists adopt five villages to provide continual technical back-up using phone and visits.
ARYA Scheme
KVK-implemented programme (2015) to attract rural youth to agri-entrepreneurship, build network groups and link them with schemes.
e-Rakam Portal
MSTC-built e-Mandi platform (2018) for online auction of farm produce; payments credited directly to farmers’ accounts.
Farmer FIRST Initiative
ICAR programme (2017) emphasising farmer-centric research by integrating feedback, partnership and technology assemblage at village level.
NPOP (National Programme for Organic Production)
APEDA-run accreditation system (2001) for organic production & processing; sets standards, certifies bodies and facilitates exports.
Market Intervention Scheme (MIS)
Price-support mechanism (2001) for perishable crops not covered by PSS; Centre & State share losses 50:50 (25:75 in NE) when production rises ≥10 % or prices fall ≥10 %.
GrAM (Gramin Agricultural Market)
Rural haat upgraded under PM’s 2017-18 announcement; linked with e-NAM to give farmers a retail market within 5–7 km.
AMIF (Agri-Market Infrastructure Fund)
₹2,000 cr NABARD fund to finance up-gradation of 22,000 GrAMs and APMCs at subsidised interest.

Viability Price (VP) – Oil Palm

Credit-guarantee for loans up to ₹2 cr under Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, reducing collateral burden on borrowers.
