What is the difference between a correlations and experiments
Correlations have no manipulations of variables so its not possible to establish relationships between one co-variable and another
What are strengths of correlations
They show how variables are related by assessing strength and direction of a relationship
You don’t need to manipulate variables and doesn’t need to be in a controlled environment
You can use secondary data which is less time-consuming
What are the limitations of correlations
They only tell us how variables are related not why because of the lack of manipulation
Cannot conclude cause and effect relationship
Another untested variable may cause the relationship
