Upper Limb
The region attached to the pectoral girdle, divided into segments: arm, forearm, and hand.
Pectoral Girdle
Comprises the scapula and clavicle, articulating at the acromioclavicular joint.
Axilla
A fat-filled, pyramid-shaped region between the chest wall and upper limb containing important neurovascular structures.
Brachial Plexus
Network of nerves that supplies the upper limb, consisting of five terminal branches.
Musculocutaneous Nerve
Supplies the anterior flexor compartments of the arm and forearm.
Median Nerve
Supplies the anterior flexor compartment in the forearm and thenar muscles of the hand.
Axillary Artery
Blood vessel supplying the upper limb with six branches serving different regions.
Pectoralis Major Muscle
The largest muscle in the breast and pectoral region, adducts, flexes, and medially rotates the arm.
Cephalic Vein
A vessel that runs along the lateral margin of the upper limb and drains into the axillary vein.
Fibroadenoma
A benign breast tumor that is most common in women under 30, usually firm and mobile.
Breast Cancer
A malignant tumor that can present as a hard, immobile mass, potentially with painful symptoms.
Lymphatic Drainage
The process through which lymph fluid from the breast is transported to lymph nodes, important for cancer spread.
Suspensory Ligaments of Breast
Fasciae that support the weight of the breast, arranged in a radial fashion.
Humerus
The long bone of the upper arm that supports the upper limb.
Phalanges
The bones in the fingers; there are 14 in total, with each finger having three except the thumb which has two.
