general shaking technique

  1. fill tin w/ 2/3 ice 

  2. add ingredients to small tin

  3. pour small tin into large tin and place small tin over large. seal by hitting top of small tin

  4. grip shaker while minimizing contact

  5. shake in arc/circular pattern to round edges of ice 

  6. place shaker on bar with large tin at bottom

  7. seperate tins by squeezing sides of larger tin

  8. strain or double strain immediately to prevent the loss of aeration 

-adding ice after ingredients minimizes dilution
