Shocks
The shock absorbers are secure and not leaking
Air bags
The air bag is not damaged or leaking and mounted securely.
U-Bolts
The bolts on the suspension are secure and not missing, broken or loose.
Air mounts
The air bag mounts are in place and not damaged
Hoses
Brake hoses should supply air to the brakes. Hoses are not cracked, worn, or frayed. All couplings and fittings are secure and not leaking
Brake chamber
The brake chamber is not leaking, cracked, or dented. It is mounted securely and there are no loose or missing clamps
Pushrod and slack adjuster
The slack adjuster should be securely mounted and have no bent, broken, loose, or missing parts. When the brakes are released and pulled by hand the pushrod should not move by more than one inch
Brake drum
The brake drum has no cracks or holes or any loose or missing bolts. The brake linings should not be worn dangerously thin. The drum and linings have no grease or oil on them.
Steering box
The steering box should be securely mounted, not leaking, and have no missing nuts, bolts, or cotter pins. There should be no power steering fluid leaks or damage to the hoses.
Linkages.
Links arms and rods from the steering box to the wheel are not worn or cracked. The joints and sockets are not worn or loose. There should be no loose or missing nuts, bolts, or cotter pins.
rear suspension
the rear suspension is located behind the tires they include the air bags, shock absorbers, U bolts. I am inspecting the air bags, shock absorbers and the U bolts on the suspension
air mounts and torque arms
there are no missing or damaged bushings. the torque arms are mounted securely and not damaged. there are also air bag mounts that i would inspect.
Rear brakes
the rear brakes are also located behind the rear tires. they are identical to the front brakes which include the brake hoses, brake chamber, slack adjuster and pushrod, and the brake drum and i am inspecting them.
Drive shaft
the drive shaft should not be bent, twisted, or cracked. The U Joints appear to be free of foreign objects and secure.
Frame
there should be no cracks or bends on the logitudal frame members. there should be no loose, cracked, bent, broken, or missing cross members.
Exhaust system
The exhaust system should be mounted securely and connected tightly. there should be no loose clamps. The Exhaust system should not be damaged or leaking and not have and cracks holes or severe dents.
