Reflex-Action
The Spontaneous, sudden, rapid- involuntary & autonomic response to any stimuli.
Purpose of Reflex-Action
Body effectors respond rapidly to prevents from damage.
Examples of Reflex-Action
Knee-jerk, blinking of eyes, withdrawal of hands from hot objects/pin/needle.
Control Centers
The spinal cord or medulla Oblongata.
Reflex Arc
The path followed by reflex-action.
Involuntary Action Relationship
All reflex activities are involuntary but All involuntary action are not reflex action.
Mono Synaptic
A reflex path involving I. Neuron, for example the Knee-jerk.
Bi-synaptic or Poly Synyste
A reflex path involving many synapses, for example the withdrawal of hands from fire.
