Decolonization

the actions or process of a state withdrawing from a former colony, leaving it independent.

satellite state

country that is formally independent in the world, but under heavy political, economic and military influence or control from another country.

a policy of extending a country's power and influence through diplomacy or military force.

Cold War

 the state of political hastily that existed between the Soviet bloc countries and the US-led Western powers from 1945 to 1990

stateless nation

political term for ethnic/national minority that dos not posses its own state and is not the majority population in any nation state.
