Broccoli- vitamins ©, fibre, carbohydrates

specific nutrients- protein, fats, fibre, calcuim
salmon- growth/repair. Backup stores of energy/insulation
Broccoli- slow/quick release of energy, fights off infection, helping digestion work properly
what are the health points?
Health points- high in protein, heart/brain/bone health, energy, vitamins, good for digestion
What are the cooking techniques and how can you reduce the loss of nutrients/ avoid it
Boiling potatoes- water soluble vitamin c/b dissolve and minerals leach into the water. To avoid- use cooking water for other meals/freeze it
Pan frying salmon- water soluble vitamin c lost via high heat. To avoid this you could steam it/ add a fruit/veg sauce to replace vitamin.
Steaming broccoli- healthier alternative to boiling, no nutrients lost.
