Line
A connected straight path with no thickness and continues forever in both directions.
Plane
A flat surface that extends forever in all directions.
Perpendicular Bisector
A line, ray, or segment that divides another segment into two equal parts at a 90-degree angle.
(Line) Segment
A portion of a line consisting of two endpoints and all the points in between them.
Ray
A portion of a line that starts at an endpoint and continues forever in one direction.
Coplanar
Points that lie in the same plane.
Parallel
Lines in the same plane that never intersect.
Collinear
Points that lie on the same line.
Postulate
A statement accepted as true without proof.
Midpoint
The point in a segment that divides the segment into two equal segments.
(Segment) bisector
A line, ray, or segment that passes through the midpoint of a segment.
Angle
A figure formed by two rays with the same endpoint
Vertex
The common endpoint
Sides
The rays of an angle
(Angle) Bisector
A ray that divided an angle into two equal angles with the same measure.
Transformation
A function that changes the position, shape, and/or size of the figure.
Preimage
The figure that is the input of a transformation
Image
The output of a preimage in prime notation.
Rigid Motion
A transformation that changes the position of a figure while preserving length and angle measure.
Nonrigid Motion
Transformations that do not preserve distance.
