5/5 Response: The future of industrialization will depend on whose in a position to make changes; although issues such as, federal minimum wage being unlivable and worker burnout have arisen. The future could stay the same and get worse over time with minimum wage losing even more value. Although, I hope that workers can get their fair share, and be able to live lives not dependent on poor paying jobs.

5/5 Response: The Industral Revoltion drastically changed the economic and political landscape by further shoing that capitalism worked, and it may have early on, but is now no longer sustainable. Unions were also born from the Industral Revolution, giving working a way to voice themselves, which affects our political landscape to this day, with union organizations such as “Teamsters” endorsing political figures.

5/5 Response: The Communist movement in China was similar to that of Russia as they both resulted from revolutions/ civil wars, both has poor living conditions, and events leading up to the change. The Russias were angered by the Russian-Japeanease war, WWI and Bloody Sunday. The Chinease were also angered by involvement in WWI. Both nations also implemented 5-year economic plants; had goverment involvement in industry and media, which continues today. However, the nations differed on what to do about those who didnt share their ideals, Russia wanted peaceful co-existence, China did not.

FRQ: The period between WWI and WWII is somtimes refered to as a “frigile peace”. Why was this time period thought of more so as a pause in fighting, rather than an era of complete peace?

5/5 Response: The perioid after WWI and before WWII is often refered to as a frigile peace due to how the First World War ended. With the Treaty of Verssais, gGermany was in ruins, the nation had to take sole blame, pay reparations and was unable to offically have an army, similarly Italy struggled after the war, this resulted in facist leaders taking power, such as Hitler in Germany and Mussolini in Italy, as we learned in the Facism video, Facist leaders often require a scapegoat, one that is eventually punished with violence, this is what led to the second world war, with Hitler persucuting and killing members of the Jeuish faith, the differently-abled, along with other groups.
