With the Treaty of Verssais, gGermany was in ruins, the nation had to take sole blame, pay reparations and was unable to offically have an army, similarly Italy struggled after the war, this resulted in facist leaders taking power, such as Hitler in Germany and Mussolini in Italy, as we learned in the Facism video, Facist leaders often require a scapegoat, one that is eventually punished with violence, this is what led to the second world war, with Hitler persucuting and killing members of the Jeuish faith, the differently-abled, along with other groups.
