Bronchus
One of the two large tubes that branch off from the trachea and lead into each lung. They carry air into the lungs.
Diaphragm
A large, dome-shaped muscle located below the lungs. It helps you breathe by moving up and down to let air in and out of the lungs.
Trachea
Is the tube that connects the throat to the lungs. It carries air to and from the lungs.
Synovial Fluid
A slippery liquid found in joints that reduces friction and helps the bones move smoothly.
Synovial Membrane
The thin layer that lines the inside of a joint and produces synovial fluid to lubricate the joint.
Fat tissue
Soft tissue that stores energy and cushions joints, often found near synovial joints for protection.
Cartilage
A smooth, rubbery tissue covering the ends of bones in a joint. It reduces friction and absorbs shock.
Ligaments
Strong, flexible bands of tissue that connect bones to other bones and keep joints stable.
Photosynthesis
A process used by plants to make food. They use sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water to make glucose (sugar) and oxygen.
Chlorophyll
A green pigment in plant leaves that absorbs sunlight, helping plants carry out photosynthesis.
