Exploitation
The misuse of power or money to get others to do things for unfair rewards, such as paying unfairly, charging excessive interest on loans, or people trafficking.
Fair pay
The concept that all workers should receive just wages for their work without discrimination, as stated by the Organisation of the Islamic Conference in 1990.
Excessive interest on loans
The practice of charging high interest rates on loans, which can lead to financial exploitation, especially for those living in poverty.
People trafficking
The illegal movement of individuals, often for forced labor or sexual exploitation, which goes against Islamic principles and Christian beliefs.
Labour rights
Rights related to fair pay, working conditions, and hours worked that are often ignored in exploitative situations, such as in textiles factories with unsafe conditions.
National Living Wage
A minimum wage set by some countries, like Britain, to ensure workers receive a decent income, but may not exist in many Less Economically Developed Countries (LEDCs).
