des or les
In French plural forms, you must use with plural nouns.
pronunciation
Adding an –s or –x to the end of a noun does not usually change this.
-s
Most French nouns form their plural by adding this to their singular form.
no further -s
If the singular noun ends in -s, -x or -z, this is added in the plural.
-aux
If the singular noun ends in -al or -ail, replace it (-al,-ail) with this.
-x
Many words ending in -u are followed by this rather than –s (nouns ending in -eau and -eu).
-s
The exceptions to the -al rule are: le bal, le cal, le carnaval, le chacal, le festival, le régal, whose plurals are formed by adding this.
