Teamwork

The combined action of a group, especially when effective and efficient.

Collaboration

Working together to produce or create something.

Group Dynamics

The processes involved when people in a group interact with each other.

Consensus

General agreement among the members of a group or team.

Conflict Resolution

The process of resolving a dispute or a conflict by meeting at least some of each side’s needs and addressing their interests.

Delegation

The assignment of responsibility or authority to another person (normally from a manager to a subordinate) to carry out specific activities.

Feedback

Information about reactions to a product, a person's performance of a task, etc., used as a basis for improvement.

Facilitation

The act of making something easier or helping something run more smoothly.

Role

The function assumed or part played by a person or thing in a particular situation.

Responsibility

The state or fact of being accountable or to blame for something.

Leadership

The action of leading a group of people or an organization.

Accountability

The fact or condition of being accountable; responsibility.

Negotiation

Discussion aimed at reaching an agreement.

Interpersonal Communication

The process by which people exchange information, feelings, and meaning through verbal and non-verbal messages.

Active Listening

Fully concentrating on what is being said rather than just passively 'hearing' the message of the speaker.

Presentation

The act of presenting or delivering information or ideas to an audience.

Public Speaking

The act or process of delivering a speech to a live audience.

Visual Aids

Items of visual or graphical information (such as charts, graphs, pictures) used to supplement a presentation.

Multimedia

The use of different types of media (videos, audio, graphics, etc.) to support communication.

Rhetoric

The art of effective or persuasive speaking or writing.

Persuasion

The action or process of persuading someone or of being persuaded to do or believe something.

Audience Analysis

The process of examining information about your listeners and adapting your message to their knowledge, interests, attitudes, and beliefs.

Message

The information conveyed by words (in speech or writing), and/or other signs and symbols.

Cultural Sensitivity

Being aware that cultural differences and similarities between people exist without assigning them a value – positive or negative, better or worse, right or wrong.

Ethics

Moral principles that govern a person's behavior or the conducting of an activity.

Citation

A reference to a source of information.

Plagiarism

The practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own.

Intellectual Property

A category of property that includes intangible creations of the human intellect, such as inventions; literary and artistic works; designs; and symbols, names, and images used in commerce.

Confidentiality

The state of keeping or being kept secret or private.

Transparency

The condition of being transparent; openness, communication, and accountability.
