Element
A substance built of atoms, which forms the building blocks of the entire world.
Atom
The basic structure that builds an element, composed of three small balls: electrons, protons, and neutrons.
Proton
One of the three components of an atom, possessing a positive charge.
Neutron
One of the three components of an atom, possessing a neutral charge.
Electron
One of the three components of an atom, possessing a negative charge.
Negative charge
The state resulting from having too many electrons.
Positive charge
The state resulting from having too few electrons.
