Big Idea: What are Sex Hormones?
Sex hormones are special chemical messengers made by your body.
They:
Start being produced a lot during puberty
Help your body grow into an adult body
Cause secondary sex characteristics (physical changes that happen during puberty)
What is puberty?
Puberty is the stage when a child's body begins changing into an adult body.
