Inpatient
A patient admitted to a healthcare facility for treatment, usually requiring an overnight stay.
Outpatient
A patient who receives healthcare services without being admitted overnight.
Discharge
The formal release of a patient from a healthcare facility.
CLIA
Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments; federal regulations that establish quality standards for laboratory testing to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Chemistry
