the number of degrees a figure rotates about a point

a transformation that preserves length and angle measure

Congruent Figures

figures that have the same size and same shape

Congruent Angles

angles that have the same measure

Congruent Sides

sides that have the same length

Dilation

a transformation in which a figure is made larger or smaller with respect to a fixed point

Center of Dilation

a point with respect to which a figure is dilated

Scale Factor

the value of the ratio of the side lengths of the image to the corresponding side lengths of the original figure.
