Personality
Enduring patterns of thought, feeling, motivation, and behavior expressed in different circumstances.
Psychodynamic Theory

Conscious Mind

Preconscious Mind

Resolution of Conflict
The process of compromise formation in the struggle between id and superego that shapes behavior.
Oedipal Complex
Psychosexual conflict in boys characterized by desire for the mother and rivalry with the father.
Electra Complex
Psychosexual conflict in girls characterized by desire for the father and rivalry with the mother.
Sublimation
Converting unacceptable impulses into socially acceptable activities.
Denial
Refusal to recognize the reality of a situation.
