How much of the world did most serfs see? What financial limitations did they face? What was the hygine like in manor life?

Serfs only saw their manor —> did not leave or travel

  • no need to trade or for movment becuase manors were SELF-SUFFICENT!!

Limitations —> Taxes imposed by Vasals or Lords on Grain

  • also dues for curch

BAD HYGINE!

  • Pigs used for warmth

  • Really small manors —> lots of people and not many rooms

  • Slept on straw filled/infested with bugs/insects
