Kidney Divergent Channel

Starts at the popliteal fossa, goes to KI, and reaches the root of the tongue.

Kidney Luo Channel (KI-4)

Circles the heel to the UB channel; follows the primary channel to a point below the pericardium; spreads over lumbar vertebrae.

Kidney Sinew Channel

Starts at the heel, medial condyle of tibia, genitals, ascends inside the spine to the occipital bone.

KI-1 (Yongquan)

Jing-Well, Wood, Sedation, Son point. Located on the sole of the foot, anterior third. Descends excess from head, calms shen, and revives consciousness.

KI-2 (Rangu)

Ying-Spring, Fire point. Located distal and inferior to the navicular tuberosity. Clears deficiency heat, regulates KI, and regulates the lower jiao.

KI-3 (Taixi)

Shu-Stream, Yuan-Source, Earth point. Located between the medial malleolus and Achilles tendon. Nourishes KI Yin, tonifies KI Yang, anchors qi, benefits LU, and strengthens the lumbar spine.

KI-4 (Dazhong)

Luo-Connecting point. Located $1/2\,cun$ distal and posterior to KI-3. Reinforces KI, anchors qi, benefits LU, strengthens will, and dispels fear.

KI-5 (Shuiquan)

Xi-Cleft point. Located $1\,cun$ below KI-3, at the calcaneal tuberosity. Regulates Ren and Chong, and benefits menstruation.

KI-6 (Zhaohai)

Master point of the Yin Qiao/Motility vessel. Located below the medial malleolus, between ligaments. Benefits the throat, nourishes KI, and clears deficiency heat.

KI-7 (Fuliu)

Jing-River, Metal, Tonification, Mother point. Located $2\,cun$ above KI-3. Regulates water passages, treats edema, regulates sweating, and tonifies KI Yang.

KI-8 (jiaoxin)

Xi-Cleft of Yin Qiao. Located $1/2\,cun$ anterior to KI-7. Regulates Ren and Chong, adjusts menstruation, and stops uterine bleeding.

KI-9 (Zhubin)

Xi-Cleft of Yin Wei. Located $5\,cun$ above KI-3. Clears HT and transforms phlegm, regulates qi, and alleviates pain.

KI-10 (Yingu)

He-Sea, Water, Horary point. Located between the semimembranosus and semitendinosus. Clears damp-heat from the lower jiao.

Kidney Abdominal Points Location (KI-11 to KI-21)

Located $1/2\,cun$ lateral to the midline (REN channel).

KI-13

Located $1/2\,cun$ lateral to REN-4. Regulates Ren and Chong, regulates lower jiao (uterus), and grasps qi.

KI-14

Located $1/2\,cun$ lateral to REN-5. Benefits the lower jiao, alleviates pain, and moves qi and blood (Four Fullnesses: qi, blood, food, water).

KI-16

Located $1/2\,cun$ lateral to REN-8. Regulates and warms the intestines.

KI-21

Located $1/2\,cun$ lateral to REN-14. Fortifies SP, harmonizes ST, lowers rebellion, spreads LV qi, and benefits chest and breasts.

Kidney Chest Points Location (KI-22 to KI-27)

Located in the Intercostal Spaces (ICS), $2\,cun$ lateral to the midline.

KI-22

Located in the $5th\,ICS$, $2\,cun$ lateral to midline. Unbinds chest and lowers rebellious LU and ST qi.

KI-27 (Shufu)

Located in the $0th\,ICS$ (below clavicle), $2\,cun$ lateral to midline. Unbinds the chest, transforms phlegm, and lowers rebellious LU and ST qi (asthma/cough).
