Healthcare professionals who specialize in preventing, recognizing, managing, and rehabilitating injuries.
AMA Recognition of 1990
The year the American Medical Association (AMA) recognized athletic training as an allied health profession.
Sports Medicine Umbrella
A field encompassing specialty areas including Athletic Training, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Physical Therapy, Sports Nutrition, Sports Psychology, and Medicine.
