What must you do before handling the denture?

Put on clean gloves.

What should be done to the sink before holding the denture over it?

Line the sink or partially fill it with water.

Before brushing, how should you rinse the denture?

In moderate temperature running water.

What should be applied to the toothbrush before brushing the denture?

Denture toothpaste.

When brushing the denture, what must be cleaned?

All surfaces of the denture.

After brushing, how should the denture be rinsed?

Under moderate temperature running water.

What must be rinsed after the denture?

The denture cup and lid.

After rinsing, where is the denture placed?

In the denture cup with moderate temperature water/solution.

What do you do with the toothbrush after use?

Rinse and place in the designated toothbrush basin/container.

What technique must be maintained while placing the toothbrush and denture?

Clean technique.

What must be done with the sink liner or sink water after completing the skill?

Remove/dispose of liner and/or drain the sink appropriately.

After finishing the procedure, how should gloves be removed?

Without contaminating self and dispose in waste container.

What supplies are needed to perform this skill?

2 wash cloths, toothbrush, toothpaste, toothbrush basin, gloves, dentures.
