General Revelation

God's revelation of Himself in history, nature, and conscience

*justifies belief; insufficient for salvation

Special Revelation

God's revelation of Himself to specific people at specific times & places (embodied in the Scriptures)

Theophany

A physical manifestation of God in the Old Testament

Christophany

A human manifestation of Christ in the Old Testament

Anthropomorphism

An attributing human features to God as a way of understanding Him

Trinity

A description of God as one Being, but existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, each fully God.

Isaiah 43:10-11

Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.
