A place like a state or country which contains a border, population, central government, sovereignty, states all recognize other states, use of force, nations inside

One person is in charge and other parties have very little say and influence

Advocated for allowing a use of force and what separates states from nations is they’re allowed a use of force

Believed people are born with rights and propery

Argued that society is driven by class and struggle he also predicted a working class revolution against capitalism

Believed free markets wouldn’t work and that the government needed to be in charge of pricing

Fought hard for individual freedom and free market capitalism claiming that too much governmental control is dangerous
