as NU evolved as a university, the logo was enhanced with a curved octagonal border. within the border was a bold spelling of National University and the year of its establishment.

the logo had some revisions through the years. it adapted a golden and hendecagonal border with the royal blue dominant interior background. a harp shaped shield was added behind the Mother Country. it included the words âLegally incorporated and duly accredited".â

in 2009, upon the acquisition of the University by the Sy family, a new logo was unveiled. this time, the inscription âLegally incorporated and duly accreditedâ at the bottom part of the border was removed; at the background of Mother Country was patterned after the Philippine flag with the three stars.
