The mass of solute present in $100\,g$ of Soln is called % wt by wt.

% wt by wt Formula

w Soln

The total weight of the solution calculated as $W_{solute} + W_{solvent}$.

% wt by volm

The mass of solute present in $100\,ml$ of Soln is called % wt by Vol.

% wt by vol Formula

$$\frac{\text{solute (g)}}{\text{Vol soln (ml)}} \times 100$$
