Antwerp Cathedral

a masterpiece of lace work in stone in late flamboyant gothic by its architect Jean Appelmans (Jean Amel de Bolougne). It is remarkable for its great width ( a nave flanked by triple aisles).

Inside the Antwerp tower is a carillon with 47 bells.

Antwerp's spire (123 m), the tallest in Benelux, was built by Domien de Waghemakere, Antoon Ke dermans Il, & Rombout Keldermans between 1508-1518
