Physical
Physical health and wellbeing relates to the functioning of
the body and its systems. It includes the physical
capacity to perform daily activities or tasks.
Mental
Mental health is the current state of well-being relating to
the mind or brain. It relates to the ability to think and
process information. Mental health is about the wellness
of the mind rather than illness.

productive member of society. Educated individuals are more likely

Adequate shelter provides protection from the elements, but also
provides a safe place for people to spend their time and pursue
activities, such as study, that promote health and wellbeing.

Income allows individuals to purchase goods that promote health
and wellbeing such as food, healthcare and adequate shelter.

Social justice relates to equal rights for all, regardless of personal
traits such as sex, class and income, ethnicity, religion, age or
sexual orientation.
Equity
Equity relates to providing more assistance to disadvantaged groups
so all people can access minimum levels of income and resources
that promote health and wellbeing.
stable ecosystem
A stable ecosystem means that resources such as food and water
are available for human use and can regenerate as quickly as they
are used. An unbalanced ecosystem can mean resources are used
faster than they can regenerate, which can have significant impacts
on human health and wellbeing.
sustainable resources
Sustainable resources means that the resources used to promote
health and wellbeing in the present are available for future
generations, so they too can experience a good quality of life.

This perspective highlights the importance of culture and community, allowing individuals to reach their full potential and support the community's overall health.
