Part of the mind is in active awareness, also known as the conscious mind. Develops when the child becomes aware of self, usually around 2 years.
Gradually gains control over the impulsive id
Then develops into a personality that copes with the world
Super ego
The last one that develops, is attitudes, values, role expectations rules, and standards.
