Hex Code
Used to identify colors in HTML, CSS, and SVG, consisting of a six-digit code.
Hue
The twelve pure and bold colors on the color wheel define what we mean by “color”
Monochromatic
A color scheme using the tints and shades of only one color.
Value
The lightness or darkness of a color, indicating the degree of a hue.
Tone
A hue to which grey has been added.
Tint
A hue to which white has been added (lighter value)
Color
The visual portion of the light spectrum.
Primary colors
These are the root of every other hue imaginable. Red, blue, yellow.
Secondary colors
When you combine any two of the Pure Primary Hues, you get three new mixtures called Secondary Colors.
