Gravity
The force by which a planet or other body draws objects towards it’s center
Newton’s law of gravitation
Any two point masses in the universe attract each other with a force that is directly proportional to the product of their masses, and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them.
Things to know about Newtons law of gravitation
It is an example of an Inverse square law
The gravitational force is always attractive
The size of the force on each mass is the same
The value for the universal gravitation constant (G) is a constant and the same everywhere in the universe. (6.7 × 10^-11N m²/kg^-2)
