Socialization
The process through which individuals learn and internalize the norms, values, and behaviors necessary to function in society.
Primary Socialization
The initial phase of socialization that occurs in childhood, where individuals learn to become members of society (Berger and Luckmann 1996).

The process of learning that occurs after primary socialization, where individuals are introduced to new sectors of society (Berger and Luckmann 1996).
